A central part of ENVIU is the organisation of nine bi-annual colloquiums that will be the driving force of the project. The colloquiums will include interdisciplinary trainings in grounded theorizing from the South, research-based advocacy, comparative analysis, and participatory methods.

The colloquiums ensure progression of research activities allowing the researchers and CSO partners to engage in cross-cutting issues and reflect on research insights and policy implications in real time. Secondly, the colloquiums allow MISR’s staff and the broader academic community to engage in the experiences of the project.

The colloquiums cover themes related to methods, ethics and gender equity; political ecology, everyday violence, public authority, access and identity; analysis and writing; co-creation and impact. The colloquiums will be organised around presentations of ongoing research and critical commentaries from selected discussants and invited guests with relevant disciplinary expertise. All colloquiums will conclude with a public seminar.

Results will be published online, in the ENVIU newsletters, MISR working papers, and policy briefs.
