ENVIU comprises four work packages that are organised sequentially to enable progression and mitigate risks:

• WP1 establishes the empirical foundation by exploring how environmental change contributes to violent everyday relations between and within public authorities and local communities in the three socio-environmental fields.
• WP2 compares the relations between environmental change and everyday violence across the three fields with attention to the exercise of authority, access to natural resources and claims to identity.
• WP3 strengthens research capacities through activities and structures of training, collaboration, and co-production.
• WP4 focuses on scientific innovation, social mobilisation and policy impact.
